Overivew
4 days trip to Mai Chau and Cuc Phuong trip is really a short
trip however you will get a lots of experiences in the areas off
the beaten track, get away from the noisy city. Start
your trip from Hanoi city, you will ride uphill to Hoa Binh and
to Mai Chau It’s surrounded
by a green valley and stilt houses. Many minorities, including
the Thai ethnic group live here. After very interesting night
stay in house on stilt, eat the foods prepared by the family,
you will continue your riding trip to Cuc Phu national park in
Ninh Binh, it’s one of Vietnam’s most beautiful and important
protected area. You will have great experience when you stay in
the guest house of the park, very calm and quite night. You then
have time to do some trek through the forest to get chance to
see rare animals. After that riding to Ninh Binh to visit the
ancient capital of Vietnam and take the exciting boat trip in
Tam Coc where you will feel the scenery similare to Halong Bay.

Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau (L,D) ~160km
Departure
and wind our way to Hoa
Binh town, before that we will be driving our own way
through villages, valleys of Ha Tay and Hoa Binh province. Lunch
break in Hoa Binh town, visit the
power plant and
continue hitting the roads up hills to Kun
pass and onto
nice roads offering spectacular views over the valleys and
mountains. Arrive in Mai
Chau in
afternoon, take a short walk around and overnight
in Thai’s house on stilts.
Day 2:
Mai Chau – Cuc Phuong National park (B,L,D) ~ 120 km
Morning
after breakfast we will ride around 6 hours on and off the main
roads to Cuc
Phuong National Park, lunch en route. Get to Cuc Phuong in
early afternoon. We visit to the Primate
Rescue Centre, which is dedicated to the rescue,
rehabilitation, breeding, research and conservation of the
endangered primates of Vietnam, then ride 20km through Cuc
Phuong forest to the
park center, tea break then trek. Overnight
in the guesthouse in the middle of the park.
Day 3:
Cuc Phuong – Ninh Binh (B,L,D) ~

Morning we
start our real
jungle trek through the national park. A national park
ranger will be our on-site guide who makes sure that we do not
get lost and he will tell us about the flora
and fauna of the
park. Picnic lunch in the shade of a giant tree. And afternoon
jump on our bike for driving on sides of this park towards Ninh
Binh town. Overnight
in hotel in Ninh Binh.
Day 4:
Ninh Binh – Hanoi (B,L) ~ 110km
Morning we
ride to Tam Coc
cave for 3
hours boat trip in
“Halong inland” then we will have lunch break in the river side
restaurant, before riding through villages, rivers, rocks to Hoa
Lu where we will
visit the “ancient capital city of Hoa Lu”. Hit our road
towards Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi by 6 pm. Tour ends.
